Battle of the Parks™Opening
In late 2023, the Hudson River Park Trust opened four dedicated outdoor pickleball courts as an interim use at Pier 76, just off West 34th Street, against the river, behind the Javits Center corridor. Permanent lines and nets. Free. Public.
“Interim” is the official word. The Trust is still designing permanent park between roughly West 29th and West 44th; until that land is built out, these courts fill a gap with hardware that players can actually use today, including lights for late play.

Today
Hours: 6:00 AM–1:00 AM daily. First-come, first-served. No permit for regular play. When others are waiting, play is limited to one hour; consider doubles; line forms at the benches. Lose your place if you’re not there when a court frees. At least two players per court. Non-skid shoes only.
Not permitted: professional lessons, organized leagues or camps, commercial activity, any sport other than pickleball, pets, food, chairs/tables, glass, alcohol, smoking. Violation can mean removal or fines.
